Luke Postlethwaite and Anna White discuss the depiction of German unification film with Elizabeth Ward
About the Presenters
Luke Postlethwaite is a PhD student at the University of Leeds. He researches the depiction of Berlin in film and the city’s film industry. Luke studied German and European Union Studies at the University of Edinburgh as an undergraduate, before taking a Masters degree in International Film at Newcastle University. In 2012 he began a PhD in German at the University of Leeds.
Anna White is a PhD student at Swansea University. She researches Hollywood and German cinema since 1990 and how it engages with fascism and the Holocaust. Anna studied War and Society as an undergraduate, and for her Masters . In 2009 she began a PhD in German at Swansea University. Anna is the Project Assistant for the GFLI.
Elizabeth Ward is a PhD student at the University of Leeds. She researches East German cinema and depictions of the Holocaust. Elizabeth studied German and French as an undergraduate at the University of Cambridge, before taking a Masters degree in Screen Media and Cultures also at the University of Cambridge. In 2011, she began a PhD in German at the University of Leeds.. Elizabeth is the co-founder of the GFLI with Hannah O’Connor.
